I wanted to drop you a note and let you know that when I walked into Sotheby’s several months ago while vacationing in Aspen to look at real estate brochures I had no idea that I would randomly run into the best real estate agent I have ever worked with. In fact, I might say she is the best salesperson I have ever worked with in any category at anytime.
This might sound a little exaggerative except that I started off as a salesperson and really am still a salesperson myself. I own, The Hatcher Agency, an insurance agency in Little Rock, Arkansas and have worked with hundreds of very good salespeople in the insurance industry and com across even more in my day to day dealings.
She is the best I’ve seen, not so much that she’s a pushy closer, but that she takes care of every detail. Tory Thomas researched everything for us on this house without us ever asking. When I told her I was ready to buy the house and close the deal and it was all done she continued to check on many things that we were not even aware of, such as Radon testing, finding me a caretaker for the house, getting me the right person to build my closets, getting the locks changed on our doors, finding floor plans, old appraisals, and continually amazing me and my wife with her Outrageous Service.
We should have known what we were getting from the very beginning, but I don’t think anybody could expect any salesperson to go beyond the call of duty as Tory did. Right after we met Tory she showed us several houses and we mentioned that night we were going to dinner at a restaurant in Aspen. When it was time to pick up the check our waitress said that a lady named Tory Thomas called the restaurant and had already paid our bill. That was the start of an amazing relationship and she was just as creative and aggressive every step of the way during our real estate transaction.
I think I forgot to tell you that she helped advise us on negotiating the best interest rates on our property, hooked us up with the Property Owner’s Association and found the next meeting date so that we wouldn’t miss the opportunity to call in and called us several times while she was gone on her honeymoon just to check in. When I had decided that is simply wasn’t going to be possible to purchase this house in today’s tough banking environment she continued to check in and after awhile I felt like “gosh, I better just buy the house because she’s done so much work“.
Had she not stayed with us I would have given up and stopped working to get things done on the house. I wanted you to know what a truly outstanding job she has done and if I were the owner of your company I would want her to have every call in listing you could place with her as you can be assured no one will work harder with the customer or represent you any better than Tory Thomas.

I recently had a closing on my town house condo in Basalt, and was extremely pleased with the entire process. Tory Thomas was my realtor, and was extremely attentive throughout. She kept me informed constantly during each phase of the listing and sale, returning phone calls and Emails quickly, and assisting with items which would have been more difficult for me (replacing a furnace and dishwasher) since I live in Massachusetts. Not only does she come across as very competent and professional, she also is personable and very easy to work with.

I spoke to Tory on Sunday and said that I was thinking about buying a place. She whipped out a card and said call this banker, she’s great, and find out for how much you qualify. She called me Monday morning and asked if I had called the banker. I said I hadn’t had a chance yet. She said I’ll take care of it. She called back Monday afternoon and said this is what you qualify for. She asked me a few questions about what I had in mind as a property. She previewed several places on Tuesday to weed out the sketchy ones and on Wednesday we were looking at the best 4 prospects. I found the perfect place. I asked now what? Tory took me through the process step by step and by Friday I was under contract in the place I wanted at a great price. It was fast, furious and painless. Best investment I ever made.
